Vancouver Delegation provides First-Aid Services at Archdiocesan Pilgrimage
On Saturday, August 15, 2026, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Vancouver Delegation of the Order of Malta – Canada participated in the Marian Pilgrimage of the Archdiocese of Vancouver. The pilgrimage was led by the Most Reverend Richard W. Smith, Archbishop of Vancouver.
Every year the clergy and lay faithful of the archdiocese gather at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Fraser River Heritage Park, Mission, British Columbia. The Grotto was first established in 1892 by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The Grotto eventually fell into disuse, but was rebuilt in 1997.
Members and volunteers of the Order of Malta provided first-aid services at the pilgrimage.
